Más de 365 dias sin que la directiva del Colegio de Traductores e Intérpretes de Chile (COTICH) formado por los traductores/intérpretes Alejandra Villarroel, Katherine Kauffman, Carla Mendoza, Nadiia Vasylchenko, María Eugenia Poblete, Antonieta Surawski y Magdalena Calderón den una respuesta formal a una denuncia por faltas al Código de Ética.
Desdeñar o ignorar una demanda formal, licita y fundamentada, durante un plazo semejante, es una forma de matonaje o bullying, pero sobre todo es un abandono de deberes por el que cualquier autoridad podría ser destituida deshonrosamente. Parece que la asamblea de socios no va a corregir la reputación de esa asociación antes que sea tarde. Cuando la asamblea tome su desición respecto a sus dirigentes se verá si los traductores que pertenecen a esta organización avalan y protegen los actos corruptos.

Over 365 days have gone by and the Board of Directors of the Chilean Translators Association (COTICH) composed by the translators/interpreters Alejandra Villarroel, Katherine Kauffman, Carla Mendoza, Nadiia Vasylchenko, María Eugenia Poblete, Antonieta Surawski and Magdalena Calderón hasn’t taken any remedial action or informed the translator who reported violations to the Code of Ethics.
To ignore or disregard formal, lawful and founded claims, for such a long period of time, is a strategy of bullying, but above all it’s a dereliction of duties by which any authority could be removed with dishonour. It seems that the members of this association won’t take action to change their flawed reputation before it's to late. Once the members of this organization adopt a decision regarding their leaders we'll see if those translators endorse and protect corrupt practices.
